HOME economics teacher Rosemary Arnot was shocked when we told her she was our lucky winner of this fabulous 18ct gold necklace, set with round diamonds and worth around £500, courtesy of Ayr’s The Jewel Room.

Business partners Denise McDougall, left, and Gillan Cowan, right, were celebrating a decade of business in November and put up this superb prize in our recent competition to mark their milestone at their Newmarket Street premises.

Christmas certainly came early for Rosemary, of Alloway, who teaches at Queen Margaret Academy, Ayr.

She said: “I’ve never won anything before and I’m absolutely delighted to receive such a wonderful prize.”
