SHE’S gone from buses to porsches in a whirlwind year.
But high flying Chelsea White is as modest as she is talented.
As the face of Ayr College, she appeared on billboards and local transport.
But she’s got brains as well as beauty after bagging a top business degree – making her one of only three people in the world to have the award.
Now she’s reached the dizzy heights as a marketing executive for car giant Porsche at the tender age of 20.
And as she became the first student to graduate with a glittering distinction from the Ayr College course, Chelsea admitted her rise has been rapid.
She said: “It’s happened very quickly and I was pretty shocked when the college emailed me to say only three people had my degree with distinction.
“The degree is offered around the world and I was able to take mine at Ayr as part of Heriot Watt’s management programme.
“I really enjoyed the course although it was very hard work, and I had to do a lot of studying as well as attending classes.
“But the lecturers are very helpful and supportive which makes all the difference.”
The BA Management Programme, which is taught on a full time basis from the college’s Dam Park campus, covers areas including business strategy, human resource management, marketing, law and international business management.
The course is taught over a one year period and requires an entry level of an HND business related subject.
Chelsea, who originally hails from South Africa, is a well known face around town thanks to her promotional campaign for the college.
But she admits she hasn’t even seen herself in the adverts after moving to Glasgow for her new job.
She laughed: “I haven’t even seen them yet – I’ve just been hearing about them on the buses.
“Maybe one day I’ll get a look.”
