THE CHAIRPERSON of Prestwick North Community Council has retired.
Throughout her years at the helm, Pat Robertson, pictured right, spearheaded many projects aimed at benefiting the people of Prestwick.
As well as making a huge contribution to organising the annual Gala Week, Pat is also a strong supporter of the Adopt-a-street campaign.
She worked together with Prestwick South Community Council Chairman Archie Monkhouse in producing the ‘Your Guide to Prestwick Today’ booklet.
Jim Ronney, the new chairperson, said: “All of the contributions Pat has made to our community will never be forgotten, and her commitment to her fellow townsfolk of Prestwick will be a beacon for all citizens to look to for a still better town to live in.”
Archie Monkhouse added: “Pat has endeavoured to be involved in so many things in her community and was a staunch supporter of community engagement.
“Her objectives were far-reaching and her enthusiasm incalculable to all who were involved in her many projects.”
