A YOB who thumped his best pal has been jailed.
Ryan Young punched his buddy because he smashed his girlfriend’s car window.
Ayr Sheriff Court heard this week that the attack took place at around 6pm on September 22.
Young, 19, admitted that at Westwood Ave in Ayr, he repeatedly punched Ryan Hetherington to the head and body.
His defence lawyer, Colin Adam, told the court that Young and Hetherington had been drinking together earlier in the day.
They went outside the house they were in to discuss getting more booze.
But Hetherington took exception when Young’s girlfriend stuck her head out the flat’s window and told them not to bother drinking anymore.
Hetherington smashed her car window, infuriating Young who battered him.
Jailing him for 63 days, Sheriff Carole Cunninghame told Young: “The people of Westwood Ave deserve better than this.”
