Drongan Primary kids are growing

YOUNGSTERS at Drongan Primary are looking forward to getting into the garden.

For they are one of a number of Ayrshire schools who’ve signed up to take part in a gardens for school initiative.

Nurseries Direct, near Stair, launched the scheme to give schools a helping hand.

For every £10 spent there, shoppers get a voucher, 500 of which can be turned into £100 store credit.

So far 25 schools registered to take part.

Colin Gemmell is director of Nurseries Direct. He said: “This scheme is a simple way for parents, grandparents, pupils and friends to help their local school encourage and support gardening.” Our experts here will be on hand to advise the schools and their pupils throughout the seasons.”

The scheme is open to all nursery, primary and secondary schools in Ayrshire.
