TARBOLTON car owners are being warned to be extra vigilant after a spate of car break-ins.
Thugs have been breaking into cars all over the village and nicking CD players.
There were five cars broken into in the village throughout the night between Sunday, August 10, and Monday, August 11.
Between 12.05am and 8.30am in Beechwood Road, a blue Vauxhall Calibre was broken into and had various items stolen from it, including a DVD/CD player and gents’ black wallet.
Another break-in occurred in Hodge Court between 5.30pm and 9.35am. A blue Renault Clio had a CD player stolen from it.
In Craigie View, a white Ford Transit van was broken into between 10pm and 8.10am, again a CD player was stolen.
In Beechwood Road, a white Fiat Ducato van was broken into between 8pm and 8am.
And between 10.30pm and 7.25am, a Fiat Punto was broken into in Fail Avenue and had a CD player stolen from it.
Police are urging car owners in the village to remove all items of worth – including documentation – from their vehicles.
