Search is on to find best bosses
THE HUNT is on to find Ayrshire’s best employers.
This year’s Ayrshire Business Diversity Awards 2008 are being held on September 11.
Nominations are being sought on behalf of businesses who demonstrate best practice in the recruitment and retention of people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
There is an award category for Recruitment, one for Retention and for 2008 a new award category has been introduced specifically for Social Firms. This category will recognise good practice and innovation in recruitment and retention in this sector.
Winners of the Ayrshire Awards will go forward to the Scottish Business Diversity Awards to be held at Balbirnie House, Markinch, Fife on November 27.
Last year’s Ayrshire award-winners were Ayr Racecourse, B & Q, Kilmarnock and Lochside House Hotel, New Cumnock.
Coyleglen Landscapes, Drongan, received an award for outstanding contribution to supported employment Nominations will be accepted from employers, a member of staff or a customer.
