Ladies, try your luck in our Racecourse Competition!

IF IT'S glitz and glamour you’re after then Ayr Racecourse is the place to be on Saturday, August 9.

For it’s ladies’ night and it promises to be one of the highlights of this year’s social calendar in Ayrshire.

To mark this special occasion the Ayrshire Post has teamed up with the racecourse to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a fantastic night out for four – including full hospitality.

The prize includes:

Entrance to the course for the winner and three friends.

Bucks Fizz reception on arrival.

A three course meal from the Chancellor Carvery.

Wine and drinks with meal.

Dance to live music from Counselled Out in the Ayrshire Suite until 11.50pm.

The Water Aid Ladies’ Night is firmly established as one of the major social events of the year in the west of Scotland.

And glamorous girls can land lucky if they are chosen as one of the best dressed ladies on the night.

They win a silver coin, which will be their passport to ladies’ day final on Friday, September 19, and the opportunity to win a fabulous prize.

Top prize this year is a silver Alfa Romeo Spider 2.2 JTS convertible worth £25,000 courtesy of sponsors Kerr & Smith/Iveco Trucks suppliers of commercial vehicles in South West Scotland.

Second prize is a £3000 white gold Vivienne Westwood necklace and earrings set with diamonds and pearls and is provided by Oghams the Jewellers of Ayr and Edinburgh.

And third prize is a seven-night Ocean Village cruise for two plus flights courtesy of Stewart Travel of Prestwick.

Water Aid Ladies’ Night is expected to attract around 7000. The gates open at 3.50pm and racing will start at 5.50pm with the last race scheduled for 8.50pm.

Top dance band Counselled Out will take to the stage in the Ayrshire Suite for three hours of top entertainment.
