MORE than 300 people have attended public meetings over the plan to axe post offices across Ayrshire.
Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock MP Sandra Osborne has held four meetings since the news was revealed last week.
And she explained that lots more people have responded to surveys she’s conducting on the proposed changes.
She said: “As a result of some of the public meetings, steering groups have been set up to campaign against the closures as it is clear that we need to put forward a strong case.”
And she urged anyone with an opinion on the change to let the Post Office know.
She added: “I would also like to encourage as many individual representations as possible to the Post Office.”
