Have your say now on the Post Office proposals

THE public have just six weeks to have their say on the plan to axe Post Offices across Ayrshire.

And politicians insist that they must make the effort to have their opinions heard.

A public consultation exercise has already started and will continue until September 23.

Ayrshire MP Brian Donohoe pledged his support in the fight to try and save the threatened branches – if the public demonstrate their opposition to the plan.

He said: “Everyone who feels strongly about this must be heard, and I intend to make sure that the right outcome is achieved.”

And MSP Adam Ingram urged the public to go along to the public meetings being planned by Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock MP Sandra Osborne.

And South Ayrshire Council leader Hugh Hunter added: “The scale of the closure programme being proposed by the Post Office in South Ayrshire is extremely concerning.”

Have your say on the proposal by writing to Sally Buchanan, Network Development Manager, c/o National Consultation Team, Freepost Consultation Team. Or email consultation@postoffice.co.uk or call 0845 722 3344.
