Search is on for Ayr Racecourse zip sliders

DAREDEVILS are being urged to step forward for a charity fundraiser with a difference.

Ayr Racecourse will play host to a 700ft zip slide for adrenaline junkies to get their rush.

The event will be in aid of the Anthony Nolan Trust, which supports leukaemia.

Fundraising manager Anne Hughes said: “We’re really excited about this event – it’s been in the pipeline for a while so we’re delighted it’s almost here and confident that locals will be keen to get involved.

“Word of mouth has already seen more than 20 people sign up for the event and we’re confident that it will be a complete sell out.

“We believe this is the first event of its kind in the area and hope that readers of the Ayrshire Post will want to get involved – it’s going to be a great day out.”

Those taking part need to pay a £10 entry fee and raise £100 in sponsorship. The event is open to anyone over the age of 11.
