Objections to Ayr bowling club’s drinks licence
BOWLERS were shocked to see objections to a drinks licence at the Ayr Wattfield club.
Two objections were lodged with South Ayrshire Licensing Board.
Both were from neighbours in Wattfield Road – David and Eileen Good, and Ian Baird.
A spokesman for the club told the board: “We’ve held a licence for 15 years.
“And I’m not sure if the residents appreciate we have to re-apply under the new regulations.
“There will be no changes in the way our licence operates.
“And we find these objections totally unfounded.”
The board unanimously agreed that the club should retain its drink licence.
