Ayr GP in probe
A GP has been banned from practising.
Dr Robert Heintjes, who works in a general surgery in Ayr, has been temporarily suspended after the General Medical Council banned him for 18 months.
Details of the case have still not been released.
A GMC spokesman said that the decision had been taken after an investigation.
