Ayrshire Post Online users want action on rising fuel costs

AYRSHIRE Post Online users think that the government should step in to curb increasing fuel costs.

87.3 per cent of those who voted in the recent poll thought that there should be action on the prices whereas only 12.7 per cent said that the government shouldn't step in.

This comes in the same week that First Minister Alex Salmond hit out at the fact that Scotland isn't benefitting from extra North Sea oil revenues.

It is also within just a few days after hundreds of lorry drivers took to the roads in England to protest over the soaring petrol and diesel prices.

This poll has closed but you can now have your say on whether you think Scotland should become independent from the rest of the UK.

This follows the Scottish Conservative conference which took place last week in Ayr and saw party leader David Cameron pledging his allegiance to the Union.
