Prestwick Dip
IT’S become a festive event that’s almost as big as Christmas.
And this year’s Boxing Day Dip with a Nip didn’t disappoint.
Almost 500 big-hearted souls braved the icy temperatures to plunge neck high into the waters of Prestwick.
And they came up smiling with a whopping £40,000 raised for CLIC Sargent’s cancer charity.
The Dip was Scotland’s most successful and is growing by the year.
Scotland manager George Burley turned out to show his support for the event, which was enjoyed by one and all.
CLIC fundraising chief May Gilchrist said: “This event continues to astound me with its success.
“We had to close registrations because it was so full and it’s become a tremendous occasion.
“A big thanks is due to everyone who took part and helped make the day possible.”
