North Ayr groups land Provost cash bonus

TWO groups in North Ayr have landed a cash bonus.

Access to Employment and the North Ayr Resource Centre received £6100 between them.

SNP councillor Tom Slider said: “I am pleased that Access to Employment and the North Ayr Resource Centre will benefit from the financial assistance awarded by the Provost’s Panel.

“Both are well established within the local community and offer a service that is second to none.

“This money could not have come at a better time; with both organisations feeling the pinch through money from Europe and the National Lottery drying up.

“I am sure the money will be used to benefit not only the people of North Ayr, but the wider South Ayrshire Community.”

Access to Employment is based at the John Pollock Centre and gets money towards transport costs for children’s activities during school holidays.

The North Ayr Resource Centre, based at Mainholm Road, received £4,500, which will help see the organisation continue to provide welfare and benefit advice.
