Daughter caused Ayr ambulance chaos

A DISTRESSED daughter caused chaos when paramedics tried to attend to her sick mother.

Michelle Frew obstructed the emergency workers and tried to force her way into the ambulance at Wilson Street on August 3.

She admitted the offence when she appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court this week.

Defence lawyer Ian Gillies said the offence occurred shortly after former heroin addict Frew’s dad died.

Mr Gillies added: “She was drunk and made a nuisance of herself.

“She was extremely upset about her mother being taken away in an ambulance but the drink played its part.”

Sentence was deferred on Frew for background reports.
