MUSIC lovers should prepare themselves for a haunting melody before Halloween. Ayrshire band The Ghosties are releasing their new single, ‘Betty Love’s Dead’, on 19 October. The hard working outfit are far from being newcomers to the music scene having played well over 500 gigs since their formation. Previous slots have included warming up for Jamie T, legendary band The Stranglers, and even supporting Glasvegas in
Front man John Davidson from Auchinleck is hoping the track can make an impact, he said: “The ultimate achievement for the single release would be to try and chart in any of the recognisable British or Scottish charts. That aside we're just hoping to really raise the profile of the band and spread the name as far as possible”.
The new single was recorded over a year ago and is now being released on the independent London-based Animal Farm label.
