Girls are making a difference
THESE bonnie Ayrshire lasses are ‘Thinking Pink’ to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Research and the Ayrshire Hospice.
Left to right, Helen McKinnon, Kerry Rossi, Elaine McIlvenney, Susan Brown, and Donna Clark, all work in the ground floor cosmetics and fragrance department at Hourstons of Ayr store and are raising funds by holding a mini-makeover marathon during the month of October.
Linda Lawson, general manager, of the Alloway Street store, said: “You can have a mini-makeover from any of our numerous big name cosmetic houses by donating £1 to Breast Cancer Care. But we’ve decided to take this a step further by matching each donation for the Ayrshire Hospice as we know it is close to so many people’s hearts.
“South Ayrshire Council is right behind us on this and so are many of our schools who have already participated in various groups. The makeover takes around 15 minutes and all you have to do is pop in to make your appointment which, if the girls are not too busy, can be on a drop-in basis.”
