Kilmarnock drugs haul uncovered in Drongan woodland area

A POLICE hunt continues this week after thousands of pounds worth of drugs was found hidden the woods.

A plastic container filled with speed was discovered in Drongan’s Watson Terrace.

The drugs have a street value of around £115,000.

Around 4.50pm on Wednesday, January 20 a member of the public reported finding the large plastic container with the drugs inside.

Tests confirmed that the drug is amphetamine, known as speed.

A spokesperson for Strathclyde Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding this matter.”
